Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) is an advanced wastewater management approach where all wastewater is treated and recovered — no liquid effluent is discharged to the environment. ZLD is now mandatory for several high-polluting industries. JAWASO designs ZLD systems integrating ETP/STP treatment with membrane concentration and evaporation/crystallisation for total resource recovery.

Membrane Concentration
RO and nanofiltration concentrate dissolved salts.
Evaporation
MVR or MEE further concentrates brine to near-solid levels.
Crystallisation
Crystalliser recovers dry salt solids from concentrated brine.
Water Recovery
Distillate recycled back into the process (95%+ purity).
Salt Disposal
Dry solids disposed or sold per CPCB hazardous waste rules.
